Milwaukee hopes images of dead can heat up cold cases

Not exactly useful in lightening up one's day, but, very useful, perhaps, in terms of demanding accountability for nefarious acts--should the perpetrator be identified, that is. You never know.

Should all states follow suit?

The Body on Somerton Beach

"What we can say is that the clues in the Somerton Beach mystery (or the enigma of the “Unknown Man,” as it is known Down Under) add up to one of the world’s most perplexing cold cases. It may be the most mysterious of them all."

I confess (no pun), I agree. Incredibly intriguing tale of mystery and murder. Read on, people and hand me your theories big and small.

The "Tough End"

Located a New York Times archived article on a murder in Greenfield near the railroad tracks. A "Mrs. Patrick Murray" was found "..cut terribly across the top of the head..." Does anyone know of a "Mrs. Patrick Murray" murder?

Mark Branch

My word, this brings back memories. Mark Branch, murderer of Sharon Gregory (twin). Greenfield canceled Halloween that year, while Branch remained at large. John Astin's reading of The Raven

Remember John Astin of The Adams Family? Here, he's doing a reading of Poe's The Raven. I'm adding it, not because it's necessarily good, but because it's retro and, well, weird.
